Valorie Solanas wrote this manifesto In 1967, with the a tragic life behind her, a father who sexually abused he, which gained her a quite straight forward perspective on the opposite sex. Solanas wrote a vulgar and quite disturbing writings of wanting to commit genocide against all men. Through the life she experienced as a young girl, her writings suggest that she thinks that men only become fathers just to do devious things to their kin. Valorie Solanas is most known as the woman who attempted murder on Andy Warhol, which made her popular and as well as the Scum Manifesto; which made women curious and started to be supportive of her ideals of extreme feminism. Although the Manifesto shows many violent and radical, Valorie did point out many problems that society had with women. One important problem that I believe is still prevalent to today’s world is when women have desires it means that it is deviant and that kind of behavior is unacceptable. While men can feel desire and act on it without being shamed, women are frowned upon for feeling such thing; there are negative societal perception for women following suit.
