Trying to read “120 Days of Sodom” was an experience that I will try not to remember. “120 days of Sodom” has got to be the hardest book to read not that I couldn’t comprehend, it was more of I didn’t want to comprehend. Every word was a signal of mad man. Which he Marquis de Sade was he was put in various prisons and an insane asylum for doing such inconceivable acts while in these prisons not only did his delusions amplified it blossomed into writings of sexual deviance. I am going to be honest I did not even get close to finish the book, every time I would try there would be a black lash towards my way. I can’t even say much of the book only that you get this overpowered wave of a delusional and sadistic man. Especially when this was written in 1785, although they would sensor many things back then, it must’ve been a shock to all who read it within the book was ravings of a crazy man with what they would say would be “indecent.” To say it was indecent is an understatement to what it really is. Although it is quite a disturbing book to read he likes to put out the point that these four wealthy men are in charge A duke, a bishop, a judge, and a banker. In Marquis De Sade’s way of thinking he believed to be the most influential and powerful men which he isn’t wrong. While these men in power get to do whatever they want to the people around them. You ever hear the saying “With great power comes great responsibility” Well apparently these four characters never heard of it. They use their power to hurt other people for pleasure.
