(Warning: Rampant sarcasm imminent.) The Turner Diaries is essentially what happens when an angry fourteen-year-old discovers politics for the first time and proceeds to write “we live in a society” for over 200 pages. This book unironically includes groups called “The System” and “The Organization”. It’s basically a racist manifesto that summarizes the crazed fantasy of the author who hates just about everyone on the planet for existing. The writer clearly has some belief that white people are against the world, as a good portion of the book describes efforts by other groups to somehow control or exterminate them. The main character is so upset by everything that he ends up doing some good old-fashioned terrorism against an oppressive system, which gets him to meet a happy brotherhood who will help him overthrow the big racism. The friends are minding their own business when the evil law enforcement bust down their door and capture our protagonist. He is tortured for information but escapes with the power of friendship and continues helping his buddies with fixing “The Society”. Our protagonist and his boys eventually escalate to a civil war against society and it actually starts going well for them. The book covers some of their wacky shenanigans in eliminating all Non-Aryans and the race traitors who support them, and eventually, they elevate their Civil War to global nuclear war because apparently, ethnic genocide isn’t going far enough. Finally, our brave protagonist does a nuclear kamikaze run into the Pentagon to save his friends, and the Society is defeated. Now “The Organization” can rule the purely white world with wisdom and benevolence. (That is an actual point from the book. Seriously, you can’t make this stuff up.) In conclusion, this is the most idiotic text I have ever read. I can’t help but laugh because if I didn’t I would probably become depressed. That another human being wrote this isn’t just baffling, but actually incredible. I would say that I hope the author finds help, but the idiot already died so he’s far beyond saving.
