Wow, this book makes you really hate Hitler. Mein Kampf was just his excuse for him to detail his sob story and how the world will eventually be taken over by the Jewish race. It’s a classic example of pinning a problem of society onto a weak minority and directing the real cause of the problem away from the truth. On the plus side (if there really is one), it was interesting to get a picture of how Hitler’s mind may have worked.
I also noticed the transgression of Hitler’s word choice and tone as he droned on through the book. He started out by playing the victim and trying to attract sympathetic feelings from the reader by detailing his sad childhood. But as Hitler advances through life and experiences various political awakenings, his tone becomes more aggressive, especially when he begins to talk about the Jewish race.
Although I would never consider studying psychology, reading Mein Kampf inspired me to look up studies that talked about Hitler’s mental state. From the progression of the text, he sounded mentally unstable and erratic. It was amazing how he ran a country and an army in that state he was in.
