I’m not really sure how to react to this. It’s really good. I’m serious. I liked it. But why. Explain to me why someone thought this was a good idea. I don’t understand. Who read the New Testament, and I mean THE New Testament, the second division of the Christian bible, about the teachings and actions of Jesus, as well as events in first-century Christianity, and thought they needed to make a rock-opera out of it. I liked the music a lot. It was actually really funny and the acting was pretty good, but I was mostly just amazed that this movie existed and I watched it. I really shouldn’t be surprised at this point, considering that I’m a fan of Hamilton, which is a mostly rapped and hip hop musical about the founding of the United States and the political work of founding father Alexander Hamilton. There was a lot of really good production in the movie, and I thought their outfits were pretty cool. Jesus was in a scene with a tank. I liked that. Judas also harnessed the Disney princess ability to sing himself out of kerfuffles. Unfortunately, he couldn’t sing himself out of suicide but it went well for a while. Regardless, it was a movie. The purpose of movies is to entertain. I like to think that people care about the quality of what they watch, but recent Star Wars movies have crushed that faith. I was entertained, and therefore, I think the movie did a pretty good job.
