Blasi’s description of Milton’s stance on free speech gives insightful, yet at times pedant, background information as to why Milton held such a strong stance against censorship. Further describing why and how, in meticulous detail might I add, Milton achieved the reform he was after. Blasi goes into further detail about what made the parliament make their decision. Overall I believe that the text was necessary in the description of why liberal views on censorship are a necessity in a free society.
