Research Topic

To what extent has early 2000s cable television affected children psychologically in implementing current societal ideals and consensus?

Using the 50 sources I’ve gathered in high school pertaining to this research topic, I’ll be providing a solid basis of evidence and analytical structuring, coursing the extent in which television has played its part in the development of child inquiry and understanding of the common world. Sources such as John C. Condry’s work of “The Psychology of Television” is a blueprint towards the rest of my research as it labels the first notations for the given prompt concerning the neurological levels of television consumption, specially throughout young developmental years where children are more susceptible towards social assimilation. The research question seeks to gather and analyze the uprising of television as it had captured the lives of many 2000s children which have now become today’s teenagers and young adults capable of more intellectual thought and political understanding as the brain continues to progress over time. Understanding the data surrounding the peak of the televised era, one could note and rather make sense of how it has affected people today and what really led to its downfall in consumption as leading entertainment swayed more into streaming platforms such as Youtube and Netflix. These platforms allowed not only for a more convenient and portable approach to watching shows for the consumer but also gave people the ability to choose when and where to watch whatever show they desire. Within all these various attributes designating the consumption of television then and now, I seek to differ the values that were displayed in television throughout recent history to narrow down the social aspirations that were displayed in popular television and what has been kept up until now. Considering political correctness, moral standpoints, judgmental stereotypes, and overall the acceptable human function for society as exemplified throughout young televised media primarily for children, which granted television programs greater consumer retention and long lasting psychological prowess. Deriving inserts of selective character archetypes, scholarly approved lessons and ideals, as well as the utter appeal that lies in prosocial television as we address the gap in research and my personal hypothesis using a rather content based research method of inquiry. All of which would prove relevance towards today’s understanding for both the consumer and the entertainment industry in proposition for better television as well as considering what led to its downfall and why they have been taking very different approaches to reclaiming their once dominating viewership in today’s world.

Context on the Original Bambi

Reading the entirety of Felix Salten’s 1923 original, “Bambi: A Life in the Woods”, one would notice a variety of emphasis on the ongoing concept of Man Vs Nature. A direct yet ironic contradiction between Salten’s personal life as a hunter, who had killed thousands of wild animals, and the contents of the story as the aspires of true Human disregard for the natural world comes to light. One look at the book’s initial chapters, and the horrors of what is set out to portray in the rest of the story are made hauntingly clear. Falling upon the very well known writing of a coming of age story following a young male protagonist going against the well established boundaries of a world new to them, in an attempt to assimilate or fulfill a destined role. Mr. Salten has done a rather phenomenal job in capturing the realities that are hidden to the average consumer, as he dictates within the facets of his work, the underlying facts that create the circle of life that inevitably feeds us as people. The context of the novel instigates a deep connection to the Jewish experience during Nazi Germany when people of that decent had gone through a series of dehumanizing presumptions leading to an era of true massacre; a connection any reader could unite within the events that dictated the animals of the story to the occurrences of real history. These subtle yet obvious relations led to the book being banned in Germany 1936, as it became a hidden subdomain for the records of cruelty displayed by German soldiers which are in notion the “He/Him” throughout the text. Further recollections of this literature could only be found in secret archives as most of the copies were burned during its time of expulsion. Considering the date of the Disney Movie “Bambi” on August 21st, 1942, the real message is yet to really be fathomed until a reiteration of the original book had recently made its way upstream. As the recent novel missioned to reveal the not so distant relations that most people who have fallen in love with the Disney adaptation had yet to foretell. The unlikely origins of this text by its unfavorable author, Felix Salten, had proved to be the complete opposite terms for its making. Salten had a contradicting link to the novel as he took part in the murdering of wild animals which most would consider to be against the agenda of his work alongside his links to the porn industry which in face value would be inappropriate for a piece that seeks to enlighten children.

Context of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion

The unwavering relation that has governs the piece of literature that is the Protocols of the Elders of Zion to this day, are all subject to personal interpretation and manipulation. Many would assume an elder of Zion themselves took it upon to log these instructions for future use, in order to effectively assess their values and intentions on paper. Some might say that the entirety of the text served was a desperate Christian attempt to publicly denounce Jewish people due to personal hatred as they hold opposing values yet similar beginnings of rivalry.
Yet the ideals presented in his conjunction of malicious and rather antisemitic ideals have proven to be a target of censorship and utter corruption. Throughout history, the use of his famous yet wished upon to be an unknown text, has made for very prominent events against the wellbeing of the population at hand, the Jews. With allegations from several parties, such as the 1921’s London Times, claiming the protocols to be pure and blatant plagiarism as they set out the agenda of completely debunking the work as an act of satire. Providing evidence showing clear correlation towards comical sources such as cartoons and old aged novels that had shined light on playful misinformation as well as personal suspicions and stereotypes that on a normal basis would be untrue. The author of the protocols remains unknown to the public eye but researches who have dealt deep into the subject could infer its underlying origin. In more well known excerpts, the effects of the holocaust could be directly related to the existence of these dialogues as sources state the Hitler had constructed his early speeches to the belief and presumption of the Protocols. Exploiting the misdirection of these texts, Hitler had creation a public consensus based on the negative notion of Jewish culture. Therefore leading upon his dictatorship on the complete eradication of what he made believe to the be the evil of the world, assuring his nation that their actions were in defense of the world and thus righteous in fact. Reasoning that captured and persuaded the events of the early 1920s and World War II.

Overview on “The Protocols of The Elders of Zion”

The Protocols of the Elders of Zion prescribes the overbearing ideals that made up the Jewish plan for global domination. This set of literature entails a series of protocols and directions that would embody the Jewish population towards a large amount of world-wide power and influence by catering to the blind spots of several dominant countries. This book has held a discrete status all throughout its existence as it consists of negative and rather malicious intentions held by its creators and references that directly correlate to most of the stereotypes relevant to Jews today. These Protocols follow the trials of Zion as dictated by the cult’s elder perspectives of Jewish religion and destiny. Symbolizing the essence of a devouring Snake that seeks out to conquer, or rather more, destroy the entirety of the world as it seeks out its enemies. Using distinct vocabulary to label the non-Jewish population, The Protocols force upon a condemning nature of oppression and resource monopoly that would end up putting them on top of the world’s financial governance. Preaching ideals that illustrate the evil of men and human kind as to which they strive for world domination would truly be the righteous set of events, supporting a protagonist’s introspection. Opposing the sovereignty of other world governments that disciplined themselves into ensuring freedom and liberty for their people, The Protocols considered the caging complexion of human consciousness, as to say that mother nature herself made for people to be manipulated and ruled. Overall, the Protocols of The Elders of Zion, consists of a destructive mindset for Jewish Supremacy that one would say was assimilated in the effects of the Holocaust despite its historical circumstances. The Elders of Zion, regarding their individual identities and possession of power through these delegations and individual manuscripts, have in essence created a religion of their own that has since been read and recaptured throughout time for better or for worse.

Notions of the “Gospel of Judas”

The Gospel of Judas inscribes the inquiry of Christianity’s mythical founding and creations are bounded by Judas’ conversation with Jesus Christ. Judas, the thirteenth disciple of Jesus, institutes a story of insecurity and curiosity that drives the entirety of his gospel. The work entails an alternative and rather disregarding depiction of Jesus’ demeanor within Christian literature and the actualities of the twelve disciples as it depicts these people are misguided and rather very naïve followers that were destined to fall into sinful praising under the name of god. Jesus is proven to be a calm but insensitive being that laughs at the ignorance of mortals, that ends up illustrating the realities that tied the human existence and its never-ending doom. The Gospel of Judas strives to iterate the pillars of Christian Hierarchy as it describes its several holy artifacts such as angels, luminaries, stars and much of that world that would invoke a new understanding for the human mind. Inevitably shattering the human ego as shown when Jesus preaches to the twelve disciples, yet leading to the outcome of Judas’ intuition. Overall, the work enables the creation of humanity and the world it corresponds with as it is vastly separated and rather inferior to the realms in heaven. Understandably this notion puts in place the reality of human consciousness as it is a loan and therefore must be paid due by work and service which in truth is both an enslavement and a gift. As humanity shall forever be looked down upon as minor beings in comparison to the entirety as we shall remain condemned to flesh and mortality.
The surprising ending of the Gospel of Judas, illustrating Judas’ betrayal of Jesus by handing him over to the authorities of that age, could be interpreted in various manners. One might say this betrayal was in fault of adolescent rebellion due to the insulting nature of Jesus’ preaching, but others might see this ending as Judas’ way of coping and therefore truly understanding the valueless world he embeds.

“Jungian” Psychology

Within the aspires of many titles concerning the affect of Carl Gustav Jung, one would find his revolutionizing theories that shaped the field of psychology towards a new view. Researching the works of “Mythos and Logos in the Thought of Carl Jung”, by Walter A. Shelburne and “Re-Visioning Psychology”, by James Hillman, the aspects of “Jungian” theory comes to foretell the literary inputs of Jung’s analytical touches on the unconscious mind. Illustrating how Jung’s controversial beginnings with studying the human mind towards new extents allowed for a greater knowing of how its utterly functions. This set of inquiry created a desire to figure out the nuances that created and made for the individual and rather miniscule processes that strive from the mind in comparison to its evident existence in character building such as archetypes. Bringing upon a scientifically backing experience that would later end up proving a large basis of psychological study. Articles suggesting these works such as “A New Image of the Psyche” by Adma D’Heurles and Joel N. Feimer, as well as “The Conceptualization of a New Semiological/Semiotic Model for the Understanding of the Matters of the Causality and the Meaningfulness in/of the Build Environment” by Ebru Eren, made use of Jung’s research to build their own findings within the field. As they truly embed the functionalities of the unconscious and conscious mind given its environmental factors that would therefore create a place fit for archetypes, which all dates back to Carl Jung’s beginning theories.

Notions on “The Gospel of Mary of Magdala”

Christian truth and its underlying storytelling condescend their vital importance within the chapters of Karen L. King’s “The Gospel of Mary of Magdala”. The work strives to tell the unspoken story of Mary in accordance or rather in contradiction to the various iterations of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

The Gospel, despite its missing aspects, entails the image of the Christian entity, Mary, as she faces the harsh but rather realistic empathies that a woman of her era would end up tarnishing. Asserting a new set of events that are different and opposing to the well known scriptures. Circulation of “The Gospel of Mary”, due to its countering and rather unappealing nature to the Christian belief, was therefore made forgettable. It illustrated a new version of Jesus’ preaching, dictating there to be no such thing as sin and completely rebutting the actions of the disciples as they are made out to be, at least in the beginning, incapable of truly embracing the teachings of their Savior. Yet, Mary, despite being a woman, was indeed understanding of the gospel and in fact would prove to have slight favoritism from Jesus, which was disapproving of the story’s emphasis on male power as it ended up creating the defining conflict of gospel. The entirety of “The Gospel of Mary of Magdala”, installs an alternative point of view on the classic manuscripts of Christianity. Its evident standing today plays as an ironic tale on society’s desire throughout history to maintain a mainstream set of ideals and literature that would further capture the winners and losers of time. As even the birth of this story has, from the very beginning, withstood a losing argument to explaining the early beginnings of religion and has been shown as so, time and time again. Furthering ignorance of the true events in history as we embed ourselves in a reality that is nitpicked for our convenience.
