I had been to the museum once before when I was in 8th Grade but I don’t remember a lot of it.  It was refreshing to go again.  My interest rested entirely in the Americans and the Holocaust exhibit.  We were taught about America’s role in World War II and how we stayed neutral until Pearl Harbor, but I feel like our involvement in the Holocaust is not widely talked about.  I didn’t even know that there were Nazi camps and organizations established in America in the 1940s.  I was also shocked to see how the government could have helped more but instead did not choose to act, especially with the refugee crisis they experienced.  In a way, its similar to what is happening today, with Syria, and how Europe is trying to deal with the situation.
