From the beginning I didn’t enjoy the movie. It took way too long to even know what the heck was going on. We are just figuring out what the names of the “famous” or “important” people in this movie. It’s so boring and wordy and doesn’t make sense. It started on magic then all of sudden it got to describing people in immense and too long detail. When I thought we were at the beginning the narrator says “let’s take it back to the beginning”, like dude. We were already 15 minutes in and we’ve been going around the same topic 100 times. It’s so exhausting, yes we get it EVERYONE IS FAKE. Another thing was really annoying and too tripe for me to watch was the editing. It was way too much going on at once. All of sudden we get to ibiza, literally when, I have no clue. I don’t like how the story is being told by the narrator the entire time. The person who is the narrator is way to involved in the movie, he is more involved than Elmyr, which I thought the entire movie was about. We are going back and forth in the movie too many times to even remember what is the present or what is the real point of what is being watched. I know the movie is called fake but can we get to why he’s fake. I wish this movie could’ve been more entertaining by making it one big mystery and then people trying to figure out what happened, Scooby doo style. When I feel like I’m finally picking up on what’s really going on in the movie we turn around and go all the way back. All we are talking about is fake paintings, there are so many more way to make this more interesting it’s sad. I keep getting reminded that everything is an illusion which I guess is the whole point of showing magic at the beginning but still it makes me enjoy the movie even less, because I feel like watching a movie is suppose to be you imagining it and making it feel real. I just didn’t like it at all.
