Mein Kampf is the most racist, xenophobic, and religious intolerant book I have ever read. There is explanation for the kind of behavior Adolf Hitler believes is okay. He goes on for an entire chapter (“Chapter 11: Nation and Race”) about how he is going to breed the ‘perfect race’ amongst Germany. He says that in order to breed in the new nation he wants to create, (more like overthrow the German government and steal) only people of similar genetics and social status can reproduce. On page 390 he states, “Any crossing between two beings of not quite the same high standards produces a medium…” Through this quote the readers see that Hitler views people as pure objects that their only means is to serve the motherland of Germany. People can only breed not because it’s a symbol of love, but because it is a duty to produce the new generation that will help the cause grow. Not only is the symbol of love not a factor when breeding, you are predestined to breed with people who are similar to you. You can only breed with people who have the same socio-economic status, who are the same race and religion. Not only does your appearance, race, gender, or religion matter when creating a family, your value as a person of society matters because of it. Also on page 390 he goes onto say, “Consequence of this purity of the race, generally valid in nature, is not only the sharp limitation of the races outwardly, but also in their uniform character themselves.” This quote is significant because it shows that the only people who matter in his cause or Germany at this time, are people that Hitler himself deems worthy, if they were not worthy enough they had no purpose and were literally sent to die. Obviously, this is horrible beyond any reason and this text clearly shows how twisted he was to even consider doing this, let alone following through with his actions.
