Protocols of The Elders of Zion
When reading the Protocols of The Elders of Zion, I can heavily say that I was both confused and intrigued. Since the writing was translated to English (like most ancient texts), the wording would get more run on and less understandable. However I made due and tried to understand the best I could. In the Introduction the author tells us that the world is run by Jews, although the Jews claim this text is a forgery. This text in general starts off with mystery as it doesn’t state the origin of this text, just that it first appeared in Russia and it was Russia that destroyed this text. The version I read is translated by Victor E. Marsden who at first I believed was the author of this text, however it is stated that the text is a fabricated text plagiarized from multiple other texts.
Who were the elders? The text doesn’t support this question as it just says they are unknown, however it does state that all three hundred of them are jewish. The text also states that they elect the next Elders from their entourage, encouraging the reader (if they believe this was real) that the world is run by a small closed group of Jews.
There were many elements of each Protocol that I agreed with, however I must make note that most of this text was very anti-semtic. In the first Protocol, it tells you that the world is set from two perspectives, Jews and Goys. And while the text is in the perspective of a “Jew”, it is easy to see that this text was created with the purpose of making Jews look bad, hence why the followers of the jewish religion state that it is a forgery.
The text does have some stand points that still last to this day, which I will get into more in my next blog; but the overall message I take from the reading, was an antisemitic author who wanted to make the reader think Jews were evil beings trying for global domination.
