Scholars believe the texts represent a substitute view between the conversation of Jesus and Judas. They also believed this event expressed the difference of thoughts, opinions, and long-standing traditions of Christians. This gospel threatens one of the most solid beliefs in Christianity. It has a contrasting view between the world, human existence, and most importantly, God himself.
I like this text because it shows a different view on Jesus and Judas’ relationship. It shows Jesus putting Judas in a situation to betray him and unlike the original texts, this gospel shows Judas as helping Jesus.
