The Protocols of the Elders of Zion was very entertaining to read. In their attempt to make it seem like the Jewish race was the cause of society’s problems and they were planning to take over the world, the way the protocols were written took away its credibility. It sounded like your run-of-the-mill conspiracy theory. Being transcribed as though it was the minutes from a secret meeting, the emphasis put into the plan was extreme and far-reaching and did not sound Jewish at all. The focus on dominating the government and the stock market sounded ridiculous. But as moronic as this text was, apparently it was real enough for people in the 1900s.
