This text was very boring and very hard to get through for my specific parts because of how poorly it is written. While reading around Mein Kampf, I learned that this was translated into many different languages and none of them make Hitler sound smart. Most articles that I saw about this text talked about how uneducated he sounded throughout his writing and how it was shown through his many grammatical errors. I was assigned chapters four through nine to read so I focused mainly in on those to see what he was rambling about. Most of these five chapters talk about propaganda. Hitler had a very strange attachment to propaganda because he realized how it was being used in modern media and I believe it gave him great inspiration for his acts later on in his life. These chapters also focus heavily on his racist and anti-semitic views that he has already begun forming when writing this. One part of chapter five that stuck out to me was him finding out about the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. When Hitler first learned about this assassination, he reclaims how he was horrified that the people that killed him may have been German. Upon finding out, however, that they were Serbian, his views change entirely and he doubles down on the fact that all Serbians are the same. His close minded, racist, views are shown throughout his many rants like this one in particular. His views on propaganda throughout these many chapters seem to influence his horrible post modern day views. Hitler’s horrible writing style reflects his lack of education and introduction to racism and anti-semitism this early in his life.
