As much as I think Hitler is a horrible human being, the first three chapters made me feel bad for him. He talks about his dreams and aspirations for his life and wants to get into art School. That all came to a halt when he didn’t pass the exam he needed to get in. Like that’s just so sad because some of us know how heartbreaking it can be to not get into a college you had been waiting for a long period of time to go to. Not saying it was like the beginning of his villain origin story and that this is where all the bad came from but he’s kind of relatable and I would never think to ever relate to someone so vile. In chapter two he mentions how his mom died in a quote along the lines of I valued my father but I loved my mother. This truly speaks volumes on how his dad treated him vs his mom. He wanted to prove something to one parent that he could be something truly remarkable and impressive and when he didn’t he probably felt like the biggest failure on earth. Where as with his mother, all she did was show him love just for even trying to get to a place in life he wanted to be and be old enough to have the dreams and aspirations he did. One thing about Hitler though is that man doesn’t know how to take accountability for the life of him. He blamed the loss of Germany in the World War One battle on social concepts such as Marxism and on the Jews for whatever reason, just hating I guess. He swears that Germany didn’t lose the battle on the actual playing field but someone or a group of people were really behind the fall of his mother country he loved oh so much. He has all these ideas on propaganda which in the long run, despite his actions, he’s kind of smart. He wants to appeal to people emotionally instead of intelligently to get under peoples skin and really feel the hatred towards the Jews to make people believe that everything bad that has happened is their fault. Hitler is really despicable person but to be able to make a whole country hate one particular group over using the blame game and emotional manipulation to do so is low-key genius. (I do not support anything this man has done)
