Within this Gospel I had a lot of questions, as it was very contradictory. Like we were saying in class, I think the usage of metaphors is super impactful for this Gospel. I specifically really like the metaphor of the “Big Godly House”, I think it is super impactful of the story of Judas. Like I said in my prior submissions, I do not know the Bible or really any of these stories other than what was presented in this. I do like however how in this story it didn’t immediately make Judas to be the bad guy. It allowed him to show his story (whether or not this is a true story is to be debated), and show him as the positive guy that he had an option to be. The metaphor for the big house I feel is a statement on Heaven. It also talks a lot about a Holier Generation, one that confused me a lot. Because, again with my limited knowledge of these stories and the Bible as a whole, I was under the impression that Judas’ generation was the holy generation, as they you know, knew Jesus. It still absolutely dumbfounds me how likely this text is not real, like how easy it would be to forge this or to make it seem accurate, very similarly to the Gospel of Mary of Magdala. I do with, contrary to the Gospel of MM, that we could’ve gotten more information on this text. Like this one is literally like, yup here is begins, here is the copy right information, and now we move on. It is also very odd, continuing on my rant of things I disliked about this text, the way Jesus was portrayed as the bad guy in this text, like he is downright rude in some ways. I know that this is purposeful but seemed very very odd still.
